Rosedale Transport in Ottawa requires a Warehouse Lead Hand for Midnight Shift.

Work Week: Sunday to Thursday, 11:00pm Start

Salary: $26.00 - $26.50 p/h

Requirements:

- Previous work experience in supervisory or leadership role in the transportation industry.
- Direct working knowledge of operations, warehousing and transportation management.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent listening skills.
- Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
- Solid computer skills including Microsoft office products (word, excel, email). TMW/ Truckmate experience an asset.
- Geographical knowledge of the Ottawa and surrounding areas including Quebec.
- Excellent planning and resource allocation skills.
- Flexibility - able to assist with departmental/ terminal coverage when required.

Description:

- Oversee warehouse employees, shunter and linehaul drivers (approx. 5) on shift.
- Communicate with the Linehaul department on inbound runs
- Plan and route runs as per service requirements.




- Update the system in a timely manner (arrive loads, dock trailers, assign equipment etc).
- Print bills and manifest loads. Ensure things are in order for next shift.
- Handle and resolve OS&D; issues as required.
- Respond to emails and phone calls in a courteous and professional manner.
- Complete any other related duties as required.
