Join AVI Health & Community Services as a SAFER Support Worker, where your lived experience will empower clients within a harm reduction framework. Engage actively in community support for a healthier future.

As a vital member of the SAFER team, you will provide peer support and facilitate access to pharmaceutical alternatives for those affected by drug use. This position focuses on creating safe, dignified interactions and fostering meaningful relationships. Your commitment to harm reduction and community engagement will greatly benefit the clients we serve.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with assessments and participant intakes
• Witness and record medication dosages carefully
• Distribute safer supplies and naloxone kits
• Provide emergency support and overdose assessments
• Keep records and participate in team charting

Requirements:
• At least two years experience in harm reduction
• Familiarity with local drug trends and services
• Training in first aid
• Robust interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively under stress
