Carpenter Co. has an immediate opening for a Tow Motor Operator at our Toronto manufacturing plant. This position is responsible for safe operation with a forklift as well as other labour duties. Work is conducted in a normal production environment with exposure to temperature changes and safety hazards associated with general labour. As a Tow Motor Operator, you are expected to:
Safely operate a clamp/fork truck
Material handling of foam blocks from plant areas to department lines
Operate baler and bale trim
Ensure quality control specifications are met
Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained
Other duties as requested by management
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to drive a forklift/clamp truck or ability to obtain license
No experience necessary however, some would be an asset
Able to interpret and work with numbers and measurements
Able to lift between 20 - 40 lbs. comfortably
General understanding of PPE and use
Adaptable and flexible for any change of daily tasks
Communicates effectively with employee inquiries or comments
Strong organizational and time management skills considered an asset
Ability to work under minimal to no supervision
