Key Responsibilities:Assembly of dampers, suspension modulesTesting new and existing damper designsValidation of product assemblyEnsure the product meets the performance specifications per the test standardsConduct product tear down and analysis and functional tests on DynosAdvise APQP team on design/DFMEA issuesProvide value improvement suggestionsInteract with tooling and process engineering to ensure product design allows for cost effective manufacturingGenerate technical reports and product performance sheets as requiredContinuously develop designs to reduce cost of manufacturingAnalyzing failed dampers from the dyno operation using reports suppliedDisassembly of failed dampersRoot cause analysis of failures modes and effectsCompletion of tear down paperwork.Rework any production failuresAny other reprocessing that arises from the production lineAssisting in assembly investigations conducted by other departmentsProvide input into DFMEA and PFMEA teamsEnsure assemblies are to print and adhere to the defined processesMaintain work area in a clean and organized fashionFollow all departmental and general procedures where applicablePerform other duties as assigned by the General Manager and/or Department ManagerAbide by all company safety rules, responsibilities, policies,
and procedures including the legislative requirements of the OHSAWork in compliance and conform to the Environment and ISO 14001 standardsAdopt and practice Kaizen principles; participate in Kaizen and GEAR activitiesAny other reasonable tasks given by supervisorBasic Requirements:Completion of a 2- or 3-year college diploma in Mechanical or Electromechanical EngineeringStrong Mechanical aptitudeStrong Mathematical knowledgeWorking knowledge of computer design softwareAbility to read & interpret blueprintsStrong understanding of instrumentationGood understanding tolerancing, stack analysis and of GD&TProficiently; use basic hand tools safelyAbility to clearly communicate issues to supervisors and teamsGood understanding of Health and safetyAbility to work independently or as part of a teamStrong knowledge of damper assembly and componentsFluent in Microsoft office Excel, Word, Power BI etc.Robust organizational skillsAbility to travel domestic & internationalThis job posting is for an existing vacancy.
