Join the City of Markham as a Building Life Systems Compliance Coordinator, where you'll manage vital inspections and safety compliance across City facilities. This full-time role is crucial for maintaining records in accordance with the Ontario Fire Code.

You will report to the Manager of Capital Delivery, leveraging your skills to ensure all building life safety systems meet regulatory requirements in a timely manner. Your focus will be on creating structured workflows, training staff on compliance procedures, and developing reports that reflect overall compliance status.

Key Responsibilities:
• Administer maintenance schedules for safety compliance
• Collaborate with departments for testing and access coordination




• Prepare compliance reports for management review
• Conduct reviews to identify documentation gaps
• Support standardized workflows for audit tracking

Requirements:
• Post-secondary diploma in a relevant field
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in asset management
• Solid knowledge of fire safety regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Access to a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s licence
