Join Sofina’s plant safety team as a Health and Safety Specialist. This role focuses on ensuring a protected work environment through compliance with health regulations and practical safety measures.

You will report directly to the Manager of Health & Safety, taking responsibility for implementing safety processes and monitoring compliance with safety legislation. Key aspects of the position include managing health and safety programs and collaborating with staff to assess risks while enhancing safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
• Partner with management to provide health & safety guidance
• Facilitate plant health & safety program monitoring
• Conduct audits to ensure compliance and operational safety
• Identify trends and improve safety measures proactively
• Develop and deliver safety training for employees

Requirements:
• Degree or certification in Occupational Health & Safety
• 3 - 5 years in a health and safety role
• Knowledge of safety legislation and regulations
• Valid Advanced First Aid or EMT certification
• Strong document control and data analysis skills
