Advance your fire service career as the Deputy Fire Chief for the City of Weyburn. This temporary full time role requires critical operational oversight, compliance, and program management.
Under the guidance of the Acting Fire Chief, you will manage day-to-day operations, ensuring policy and legislative compliance. The role involves organizing programs, overseeing training for paid-on-call firefighters, and supporting the Acting Fire Chief in their absence. Your leadership will directly contribute to effective fire and rescue services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily fire department operations and readiness
• Support training for career firefighters and volunteers
• Evaluate and organize departmental programs
• Step in as Acting Fire Chief when necessary
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and legislation
Requirements:
• Minimum of 3-5 years in fire and rescue operations
• Degree in Public Administration or related field
• Fire College graduate at an advanced level
• Class 3 driver’s license with A endorsement
• Valid Standard First Aid Certificate with CPR
