Our client, a leading food manufacturing company, is located in Richmond Hill, ON.

Position

Production Supervisor

Pay Rate: $24.00–$26.00 per hour
Shifts: Morning and Afternoon — flexibility to work either shift is required.

Position Overview

Our client is looking for a Production Supervisor responsible for ensuring the proper setup, startup, and operation of Tetra Pak filling equipment while supervising and assisting production staff. The role also includes overseeing the caser/stacker area and ensuring case supply, equipment, and conveyors are operating properly.

Principal Duties

- Oversee and coach production employees.
- Ensure the safe use of equipment.
- Identify efficiency issues and suggest improvements.
- Check production output according to specifications.
- Prepare packaging materials for the filler.
- Set up the filler according to the operation manual.
- Perform all testing and checks during machine setup and startup.
- Communicate with the pasteurizing area and start the filler.
- Maintain quality control checks for codes, seals, and weights.
- Maintain a clean work area and equipment.
- Report mechanical failures and repair minor breakdowns.
- Support and maintain company quality standards.




- Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.

Requirements
- Grade 12 education.
- Mechanically inclined.
- Experience in a food or dairy manufacturing environment.
- Forklift license is preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge is an asset.
- Ability to multitask and work in a dynamic setting.
- Strong commitment to teamwork and willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to supervise a team of 10–20 employees.
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and email.
- Strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Shift Flexibility

We are looking for someone who is flexible and available to work both morning and afternoon shifts, as the role may require coverage across either schedule.
