Our client is a sheet metal manufacturer in the HVAC Industry, and they are looking at hiring 2 Forklift Operator/Material handlers for their Oakville location.

- Shift: Dayshift 11am to 7pm Monday to friday
- Pay Rate: $22.50 per hour
- Location: Oakville, ON
- Contract to Permanent: Yes, after 3 months probationary period.

Duties:

- Operate Forklift Safely: Drive and operate forklifts (CB/RR, Reach Truck, Order Picker) safely and efficiently in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Loading and Unloading: Load and unload materials and products from trucks, pallets, racks, and shelves using forklift equipment.
- Material Handling: Transport materials within the warehouse or production facility to designated areas using forklifts.
- Inventory Management: Assist in counting, recording, and maintaining inventory levels.
- Quality Control: Inspect and verify goods against purchase orders or invoices to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Safety Protocols: Adhere to safety standards and protocols at all times to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Maintenance Checks: Conduct routine maintenance checks on forklifts and report any maintenance issues to supervisors.




- Communication: Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of tasks.
- Documentation: Complete and maintain accurate documentation and records related to forklift operations and inventory movement.
- Adherence to Regulations: Follow all applicable regulations and guidelines regarding forklift operation and workplace safety.

Requirements

- Valid forklift license (CB/RR and Order Picker)
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Solid attention to safety protocols and procedures
- Good communication skills
- Forklift License: Required; onsite orientation and training provided on the first day
- Criminal Background Check: Required
