Who are we?
Symmetry Commerce is a Canadian company founded by two former Shopify employees. Io (President) and Mike (CEO) worked with 100s of ecommerce businesses looking to set up new experiences on Shopify. After years of working for Shopify they decided it was time to get closer to businesses and started the Shopify agency Symmetry Commerce. Symmetry Commerce has one goal: Make Shopify better for everyone. We work with businesses that need to migrate their ecommerce storefront to Shopify or improve their current experience on Shopify. At Symmetry Commerce we offer an array of services such as:

Recent Shopify store setup

Shopify store migration

Theme design, development and configuration

App development and integration design

What do we need help with?
We’ve been growing our portfolio of clients and are looking for someone with experience using and configuring the Shopify platform. Some of the responsibilities of the role include:

Shopify theme configuration: identifying theme options that best meet a client’s needs, creating templates, adding/removing/configuring sections,



changing section content and using page builders to build appealing ecommerce storefronts

Confirming details and business requirements with clients and advising on how to best achieve those needs with settings in the Shopify admin

Adding content to Shopify’s CMS (such as product descriptions, image alt text)

Recommending Shopify apps and technologies to solve problems for clients

Working with Symmetry Commerce sales, project management and developers to ensure client needs are met

Training clients to use the platform once their site is launched

What skills and experience do we need?

Experience working with the Shopify platform.Ability to configure Shopify themes, setup products, website content and configure sections

Familiarity with HTML, CSS, Javascript and Liquid (we have developers, you don’t need to know how to code, just what these are)

Knowledge of ecommerce best practices and industry trends

Established professional communication skills via email and in virtual meetings

Proactive with ability to independently complete tasks on multiple projects and meet deadlines





Ability to collaborate with remote teams and maintain ownership when needing to escalat and bring in support from developers

An eye for design and UX

Familiarity with marketing and SEO best practices would be a bonus

What experience is an asset, but not required?

Experience with Monday.com (project management platform)

Experience with digital design and UX

Familiarity with marketing and SEO best practices

This is a full time position

This is a remote position, but you must be based in Canada

Fully covered comprehensive benefits after 3 months of employment

The salary offered will be based on the length and relevance of the candidate's work history and the skills developed through their professional experience
