Shape the next generation of performers with the City of Burlington as a part time Specialized Program Instructor in Drama. You will lead engaging sessions for children aged 4-17 at the Burlington Performing Arts Centre.
This fixed-term role runs from September 2026 to August 2027, offering up to 27 hours weekly. You’ll work under the Artistic Supervisor to deliver drama instruction that includes acting, improvisation, storytelling, and character development. This environment promotes creativity, confidence, and teamwork among young participants.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver engaging drama instruction
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive learning space
• Support various Burlington Student Theatre programs
• Help participants develop performance skills
• Collaborate with artistic program staff and directors
Requirements:
• Experience in drama education or theatre
• Passion for working with children aged 4-17
• Robust communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt to various teaching environments
• Flexibility for seasonal work arrangements
