Welder – Shutdown Project | Sparwood, BC

NO ROPE ACCESS EXPERIENCE? WE CAN TRAIN YOU.

Structure Group is seeking experienced Welders for an upcoming industrial shutdown project in the Sparwood, BC area.

Rope access experience is NOT required. Structure Group can provide rope access training for qualified welders prior to mobilization. If you are a strong welder interested in expanding your skill set into rope access work, we want to hear from you.

Project Details

- Project Dates: September 12–25, 2026
- Schedule: 12-hour day shifts + approximately 1 hour travel
- Pay: $60.00–$65.00/hour, based on qualifications and experience
- LOA: Provided
- Rope Access: Training can be provided - previous certification is not required
- B-Pressure: Preferred
- Orientation: Required prior to project start
- Subcontractors: Welcome to apply; rates negotiated separately

Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural and industrial welding in accordance with project specifications and applicable codes
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
- Complete welds to CWB standards
- Conduct visual inspections and maintain weld integrity
- Assist with fit-up, material preparation, fabrication,



and assembly as required
- Follow all site and Structure Group safety requirements
- Participate in toolbox talks and hazard assessments

Qualifications
- Valid CWB welding certification required
- Structural steel, construction, mining, shutdown, or industrial welding experience
- Rope access certification is an asset, but NOT required. Structure Group can train the right candidates
- B-Pressure certification is considered a solid asset
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts for the duration of the shutdown
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
