We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Red Seal Carpenter to lead and execute high-quality carpentry work across a variety of construction projects. The Red Seal Carpenter is responsible for managing framing, finishing, formwork, and backing while driving jobsite productivity and upholding rigorous quality and safety standards. This position works closely with the Site Superintendent to ensure structural elements and fine details are completed accurately, safely, and on schedule. The ideal candidate is a certified journeyperson with comprehensive knowledge of contemporary building codes, structural framing geometry, and finish techniques across commercial and institutional projects. This is a hands‑on technical role, requiring the successful candidate to perform skilled trade work while mentoring apprentices and guiding field crews.

This position works closely with the Site Superintendent to ensure structural elements and fine details are completed accurately, safely, and on schedule. The ideal candidate is a certified journeyperson with comprehensive knowledge of modern building codes, structural framing geometry, and finish techniques across commercial and institutional projects. This is a hands‑on technical role,



requiring the successful candidate to perform skilled trade work while mentoring apprentices and guiding field crews.
What you’ll do Execute structural framing, foundation formwork, wall assemblies, and heavy timber installation to exact engineering specifications.
Actively work alongside field crews and apprentices, providing hands‑on instruction, setting the work pace, and technical mentorship.
Read, interpret, and work directly from architectural and structural drawings, specification manuals, and building codes.
Utilize Procore (digital jobsite software) to review updated drawings.
Perform accurate site layouts and laser leveling.
Ensure all work complies with local building codes, project specifications, and quality control standards.
Promote and enforce company safety protocols, safe tool operation, and proper personal protective equipment (PPE) usage.
Conduct daily hazard assessments and maintain a clean, organized, and hazardous‑free work area.
Coordinate with Site Superintendents and Site Leadership to maintain seamless construction sequencing and project momentum.
What you bring Red Seal Endorsement (RSE) in Carpentry / Journeyperson Certificate of Qualification required.




Minimum of 5 years of carpentry experience in residential or commercial construction.
Proven experience across a range of structural and finishing scope, including: Wall backing and framing
Foundation layout and concrete formwork
Commercial and institutional finish carpentry

Proficient in reading, scaling, and interpreting architectural and structural drawings
Experience using Procore or similar mobile construction management software for field reporting and plan reviews.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills to guide apprentices and collaborate with site supervisors.
Willingness to work in different areas such as Vancouver, Burnaby, Surrey, Langley, and Abbotsford.
Requirements Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation.
Must own a basic set of personal hand tools such as tool belt, tape, hammer, and framing square.
Ability to perform physically demanding labor, including lifting 50+ lbs, climbing scaffolding, and working at heights in all weather conditions.
Proficient with mobile devices, smartphones, and digital jobsite tools for viewing documentation.
Valid Occupational First Aid (OFA) / First Aid certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
