We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist who takes pride in mechanical accuracy and clean craftsmanship.
In this position, youll take full ownership of setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes within our high-precision metal manufacturing facility.
Working on our overnight team, youll have the autonomy to troubleshoot, adjust programs on the fly, and ensure top-tier component quality.
Core Responsibilities Execute end-to-end setups and production runs on CNC milling and turning machines independently.
Inspect work-in-progress and finished parts using precision tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges) against detailed blueprints.
Identify operational bottlenecks, perform on-screen G-code edits, and fine-tune controls for maximum output and quality.
Uphold strict safety standards and keep your work station organized and well-maintained.
Applicant Requirements Practical background in CNC setups, tool changes, and operation within a fast-paced metal shop.
High proficiency in reading engineering drawings, geometric tolerances, and schematics.
Working knowledge of G-code for machine-side troubleshooting and program edits.
Self-directed work ethic with high attention to detail.
Must possess personal, reliable transportation to commute to the site.
Advantages Competitive pay: $24-26 /hour Night shift Prospect to work in a skilled manufacturing environment Long-term opportunity for the right candidate Hands-on CNC machining and setup experience Team-oriented and safety-focused workplace Responsibilities Maintain safe operations at all times and follow company QHSE standards and practices Study work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, specifications, and machining parameters Interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances Program mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points, tool registers, offsets, compensations, and conditional switches Calculate machining requirements using basic math, geometry, and trigonometry Set up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting 3-jaw and 4-jaw chucks, tools, attachments,
collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers Load machines by lifting stock into position Verify settings by measuring first-run parts and sample work pieces Deburr final machined pieces as needed Observe machine operations, detect malfunctions, and troubleshoot processes Complete production and quality logs, including quality forms and daily product sheets Operate lifting devices such as overhead cranes Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Assist with preventative maintenance on machinery Participate in continuous improvement initiatives as directed by management Qualifications Minimum 3 years of machinist experience 23 years of CNC mill and/or lathe setup experience Knowledge of Okuma G-Code and Fanuc operational systems CNC certificate is considered an asset CNC programming experience is considered an asset Strong knowledge of machine tooling Knowledge of ISO and API is considered an asset Ability to accurately interpret work orders, sketches, blueprints, and verbal instructions Strong knowledge of measuring tools, including calipers, OD/ID micrometers, height gauges, thread wires, and thread gauges Ability to troubleshoot, detect abnormal running conditions, and maintain high-quality standards Able to lift and move materials up to 3050 lbs and stand for extended periods Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team Steel-toed safety boots required Summary If you''re an experienced individual looking for a new challenge in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you, apply today!
