Production Team Leader
Belleville, ON | Multiple openings: Moulding & Assembly

We're hiring hands-on Production Team Leaders for a well-established automotive manufacturer in Belleville. This is a frontline leadership role, you'll run a team of 15–20 production associates and own safety, quality, and productivity on every shift you lead.
If you've got a few years of leadership under your belt, you like being on the floor with your people, and you want a real step up with room to grow, this one's worth a look.
The Openings & Shifts
We have openings across two departments, and we're upfront about the schedules so you can pick the fit that works for your life:
Moulding | 12-Hour Continental
- 12-hour continental rotation (days and nights), with a built-in block of days off every cycle.
- You're not tied to the Monday-to-Friday grind.
- Continental shift premium applies on top of base rate.
Assembly | Nights (Afternoons Also Available)
- Straight nights, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Afternoon openings available as well.
- Consistent, predictable schedule, no rotating chaos, plus shift premium.
- Straight talk: these are off-day-shift roles. We're telling you that up front because the right leader values the premium, the predictability, and the quieter floor that comes with it, and we'd rather match you to the right shift than surprise you later.
Compensation & Schedule
- $28.75 to $29.75/hour + shift premium (depending on shift)
- Full-time, permanent
- Some overtime required to support production demands
What You'll Own
Team Leadership & Performance
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of 15–20 production associates
- Set explicit expectations and hold the team accountable to safety, quality, and productivity standards
- Monitor attendance, approve hours, and give regular performance feedback
- Train new hires and cross-train your team to build shift capability
- Provide break relief as needed to keep the line running
Safety & Compliance
- Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with plant safety rules
- Partner with the JHSC on audits and get ahead of safety concerns before they become problems
- Make sure everyone follows company policies and procedures
Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Work with Quality Control on first-off approvals and ongoing quality standards
- Lead problem-solving on scrap, downtime, and defects
- Drive Kaizen and continuous-improvement initiatives, your ideas on the floor get heard
- Make sure Quality Alerts and documentation are communicated and understood by the team
Operational Execution
- Coordinate daily production activities to hit schedule
- Drive workstation setups, tooling adjustments, and process adherence
- Monitor efficiency, scrap, and downtime metrics
- Complete production and inventory reporting accurately and on time
- Support preventive maintenance and trial runs with Engineering and Tooling
What Makes a Great Team Leader Here
- 2–5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment (teams of 10+ an asset)
- Hands-on, you're out on the floor with your team, not parked behind a desk
- Team-oriented, and you take genuine pride in the people you lead
- A natural trainer who gives clear, direct guidance
- Well respected, you lead by example and people follow
- Strong written and verbal communication, comfortable in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Flexible and adaptable, you own the job, take on new challenges, and roll with change
- Solid understanding of production processes, quality systems, and safety standards
- Automotive manufacturing experience is considered an asset
