Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Dev Ops Engineer to join our dynamic team and play a key role in designing, implementing, and operating scalable, secure, and highly available network architectures in AWS.
This role will be part of the engineering organization and responsible for building and managing complex multi-account, multi-region network topologies, ensuring secure and efficient connectivity between services, environments, and cloud regions.
As a member of a technically diverse team, you'll pitch in across domains like Security and SaaS Ops at times as well.
Please note: This role includes a technical interview where you/'ll be expected to discuss, review, and troubleshoot code related to infrastructure and automation.
- Design, build, and maintain AWS network infrastructure, including VPCs, Transit Gateways, Route 53, VPNs, and connectivity between accounts and environments;
- Implement and manage secure networking solutions using security groups, network segmentation, and private connectivity patterns;
- Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure as code using Terraform, AWS CDK, or Cloud Formation, integrated with CI/CD pipelines (with ability to understand, explain, troubleshoot, and modify the code you work with);
- Troubleshoot complex connectivity issues involving DNS, routing, firewalls, VPNs, and cloud services;
- Partner with Application, Platform, and Security teams to design and support secure, scalable cloud architectures;
- Monitor network health, investigate incidents, and drive improvements that increase reliability and operational efficiency;
- Write and maintain automation, tooling, and scripts using Python, Bash, or Power Shell to improve reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency;
- Contribute to cloud networking standards, Dev Ops practices, and operational excellence while ensuring alignment with security and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and NIST.
- Degree or equivalent experience in networking or computer science;
- Strong AWS networking expertise (VPC, Transit Gateway, Route 53, VPN);
- Experience with multi-account and multi-region architectures;
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls;
- Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, CDK, Cloud Formation);
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops practices;
- Scripting experience (Python, Power Shell, Bash);
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

The Compensation range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. Please note that the actual compensation may vary depending on location and job-related factors such as qualifications, experience, knowledge and skills. If the compensation structure for the role includes an incentive component (i.e. most Sales roles) the range below represents total target compensation (TTC) (base salary + variable).
$120,000 - $170,000 (CDN) a year
