Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic

Where will you work: Onsite – Colonsay, Saskatchewan

(Colonsay is located approximately 42 miles from City of Saskatoon, with an average driving time of about 45 minutes)

As a Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic at our Colonsay, SK location, the successful candidate will safely and efficiently perform the duties of a Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic in an assigned area on an assigned shift.

What you’ll do

- Reporting to the maintenance supervisor you will work as part of a team and be responsible for servicing the plant equipment and underground mining equipment.
- Work safely in an industrial environment and able to follow the procedures and policies that are in place.
- Inspect, diagnose, adjust, repair, fabricate, modify, and install plant equipment and or mining related equipment.
- Plan, layout and use trade skills for assigned work.
- Be able to work in the field, shop or underground.
- Proficient in laser alignment.
- Basic computer skills and ability to communicate and report any deficiencies or corrections noticed during routine maintenance or inspections either verbally or in writing.
- Willingness to learn and gain adequate knowledge and experience through training.
- Play a critical role not only ensuring your own safety,



but also the safety of others.
- The position will require working on surface or underground as assigned.
- You may also be required to work a shift rotation requiring weekend work.

What You’ll Need

- A recognized, valid, Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic's Red Seal Certificate.
- Full knowledge of the safe utilization and care of power and hand tools.
- Full knowledge of cutting and welding practices.
- The ability to discern the state of mechanical condition of machines and equipment and take appropriate action.
- Employment is subject to successfully completing Mosaic's pre-employment checks including criminal, drug and alcohol testing.
- Must be authorized to work in Canada.
