Location: Mississauga, ON (onsite) Salary Range: $120K - 130K annually Vacancy Type: Existing PositionWhy You'll Love Working Here:Recognition Programs: Programs that recognize and reward employee achievements and contributions.Community Engagement: Opportunities to participate in community service and corporate social responsibility initiatives.Solid Leadership: Work under experienced and visionary leaders who guide the company towards success.Innovation Hubs: Access to state-of-the-art facilities and innovation hubs that foster creativity and development.What You'll Be Doing:Lead new product development programs and manage all aspects of program executionCoordinate APQP activities to ensure successful product launchesManage supplier relationships, capital equipment suppliers, and cross-functional project teamsEnsure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to customer requirementsLead cross-functional teams throughout the program lifecycleManage commercial aspects of assigned programsDirect and support CAD designers in the development of product models and engineering drawingsReview and validate CAD designs, specifications, tolerances, and technical requirementsApply DFM (Design for Manufacturability), DFA (Design for Assembly), and concurrent engineering principles to optimize product designsDrive innovation and support intellectual property development initiativesCoordinate acquisition of materials and services required for development programsLead product verification and validation activities, including hydraulic and acoustic performance testingOversee prototype builds, inspections, testing activities, and process validationAct as the primary customer contact for technical and program-related communicationsPrepare and present project status updates, technical reports, and customer presentationsSupport continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancementsEnsure compliance with quality, environmental, and safety management systemsWhat We're Looking For:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering,
Mechatronics Engineering, or a related disciplineProfessional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation preferredMinimum 5 years of experience in automotive product design and developmentMinimum 5 years of program or project management experienceStrong understanding of APQP, PPAP, and automotive quality systemsKnowledge of IATF 16949 requirements and automotive product development processesStrong understanding of CAD systems, GD&T, datum structures, and engineering drawingsExperience developing product validation requirements and testing plansExcellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS ProjectAbility to work effectively in cross-functional and customer-facing environmentsBonus Points If You Have:Experience in mechatronics product developmentKnowledge of hydraulic systems, pumps, and automotive fluid management productsExperience with casting, forging, machining, grinding, and secondary manufacturing processesSix Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification/backgroundKnowledge of CMM, SPC, and statistical analysis toolsExperience with equipment procurement and supplier developmentExperience leading global or multi-site automotive development programsWhat We Offer:Johnson Electric offers talented people like you the prospect to grow professionally and personally, surrounded by some of the most dedicated, creative, and entrepreneurial colleagues you will find anywhere.
