Role:
Industrial Designer (+ Tech Packs) Location:
Saint-Sauveur Type:
Full-time Salary:
Competitive To apply:
Details at the bottom of the page
We build dog gear to the same standard as the equipment we trust in the mountains: technical, durable, and designed with intention.
We’re looking for someone who can own the product design process from concept to production ready files. Softgoods-focused. Detail-obsessed. Comfortable making decisions and documenting them.
If you can design, spec, and translate ideas into tech packs a factory can actually build, keep reading.
What you’ll lead As our Industrial Designer, you will own:
Product design Industrial design for softgoods and dog gear, from early concepts to refined, production-ready solutions.
Softgoods development Materials, construction, stitching logic, reinforcements, hardware integration, and durability-driven design decisions.
Tech packs and production files Creating clear, complete specs: measurements, BOM, callouts, construction notes, tolerances, labeling, and revision tracking.
Sampling and iteration Managing the sample cycle with speed and precision. Reviewing samples, diagnosing issues, updating specs, and pushing the product forward.
Supplier collaboration Communicating with factories and vendors to solve problems, clarify builds, and improve manufacturability without losing the design.
Design integrity Protecting the Säker standard across comfort, fit, performance, and aesthetics, even when constraints show up.
Hardware design support (nice to have) Comfortable designing or refining small hardware components (buckles, D-rings, connectors, plates) in
SolidWorks or AutoCAD . Not mandatory, but a big plus.
How you’ll work You move between creative thinking and technical execution effortlessly. One day you’re exploring form, fit, and function.
The next you’re deep in details: stitch lines, tolerance decisions, BOM logic, and a tech pack that leaves zero room for guesswork. Even better if you can design parts.
You’ll collaborate directly with our founder and our internal creative team. You’ll prototype, test, refine, document, and push product into reality with a bias for clarity and quality.
Your days will include:
Translating performance needs into product concepts and buildable designs
Building tech packs that factories can follow without interpretation
Reviewing samples and making clean, fast revisions
Improving fit, durability, and usability through iteration
Researching materials and components that meet our standard
Supporting launches by ensuring the product story matches the product reality
What success looks like You ship products that feel inevitable: straightforward, strong, and solved.
Not because they’re loud, but because every detail is intentional.
Success in this role means:
Tech packs that reduce back-and-forth and prevent mistakes before they happen
Faster sample cycles because your documentation is clear and complete
Products that fit right, last, and look premium in the real world
Durable construction choices that hold up under actual useFactory-ready files that protect the design, not dilute it
A product line that feels cohesive, purposeful, and unmistakably Säker
Who you are You are equal parts designer and builder.
You care about silhouette and experience, but you also care about seam placement, stitch type, and why something will fail.
You like ownership. You move fast without being sloppy. You notice details. You communicate clearly. You don’t hide behind vague specs.
You might be a fit if:
You’ve designed softgoods and taken products through sampling to production
You can create tech packs that are precise and easy to manufacture
You understand materials, construction, and how to design for durability
You can collaborate with suppliers and solve problems without drama
You have strong taste and a high bar for what feels premium
You’re organized, reliable, and sharp with documentation
Bonus points if: You can design hardware components and produce manufacturing-ready CAD in SolidWorks or AutoCAD (not required, but a strong plus)
This role is based in Saint-Sauveur, in person. Or the role can start as hybrid to be ultimately in person.
We value in-person collaboration, especially for prototyping, sample reviews, and moments where fast iteration matters.
What we offer This is a driver-seat role. Your ideas won’t get stuck in decks. They’ll get built.
We offer:
Real ownership of softgoods design and development, from concept to production files
A fast feedback loop where your ideas get heard, tested, and iterated, not parked
High standards, low politics, direct collaboration with the founder, and clear decisions
Hands-on product work with samples, materials, hardware, and real-world testing
A brand with a point of view, building equipment-grade dog gear, not pet accessories
Competitive compensation and room to grow with the product line
If you want to ship work you can point to, and see it become real, you’ll like it here.
