Perform ultrasound imaging procedures in Main SB/HC Department, Emergency Department and or in the OR as required, including evening, weekend and call shifts Performs and troubleshoots required care and maintenance of ultrasound and medical imaging equipment as required to ensure they are performing in a effective and manner. Perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound examinations including abdominal, obs/gyn, small parts, breast, MSK, neurodoppler, vascular, and u/s guided procedures including CEUS Responsible for care of patients within the department. Collects records and verifies patient history and information. Obtains informed consent when required. Prepare and Maintains adequate written and electronic reports to document all procedures and test results according to departmental policy and procedures Collaborates and participate in teaching, research, educational,
safety and quality improvement programs. Qualifications/Skills
Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program ARDMS Registration Memebr of the CMRTO Current BCLS certification Minimum 3 years’ recent ultrasound technologist experience in a similar/related setting required Ability to work a variety of shifts and on call rotation Excellent organizational skills, able to organize and prioritize work. Proven time management skills Demonstrated ability to work well in a team workplace, and also at times independently. Strong verbal & written communication skills Demonstrated initiative and comfort with decision making, problem recognition and problem solving skills
