We are seeking an experienced Senior Mainframe Developer to join a team supporting and enhancing a core mainframe cards and transactions platform. This is a critical enterprise system that connects clients to their banking products and services and supports 24/7 delivery channels such as Online Banking, POS, ATM, and other transaction-based services.

This role involves both development and production support, with a focus on designing, building, testing, deploying, and evolving software solutions in a highly available banking setting.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, deploy, support, and enhance software solutions that support core banking services
- Lead and contribute to conversion, attestation, and audit initiatives
- Manage individual priorities, timelines, deliverables, and project commitments




- Analyze business and technical requirements to provide estimates and establish project plans
- Create, update, and maintain technical and project documentation
- Collaborate effectively with team members and cross-functional IT partners
- Provide after-hours production support when required (rare)

Required Qualifications

- Completion of post-secondary education
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong hands-on expertise with:
- COBOL
- JCL
- IMS DB
- Online / Batch processing
- DB2
- MQSeries
- Git

Nice to Have

- Experience with:
- zUnit
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for mainframe environments
