Position Overview The Account Manager (Open Platform Business Group), Commercial will maintain positive working relationships with customers by implementing new products, marketing programs, problem solving and managing inventory flow. The candidate will increase sales opportunities in specific Canada regions with existing commercial channel customers as well as expand our business with new accounts. The Account Manager is responsible for development, implementation, and execution of programs to achieve these business goals. ASUS products will include but are not limited to monitors, PC systems, components, and peripherals lines. The Account Manager is also expected to fully manage all business aspect for tier one house account
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop go-to-market strategies for ASUS products to assigned accounts
Competitive analysis to understand the market situation, provide feedback internally, and execute the action plans
Drive sales target and growth to meet quarterly and annual business goals
Proactively identifies sales opportunities with assigned accounts, and complete sales cycles
Coordinates and arranges routine scheduled meetings, including virtual and face-to-face meetings, to drive awareness for sales opportunities
Review inventory reports and POS reports
Provide product training to customers and increase mindshare
Manage and attend customer events and industry trade shows
Work with Marketing to create marketing solutions to support accounts
Maintain good attendance and punctuality
Perform other job duties as assigned*
Required Qualifications Years of Education
Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in related field or equivalent
Work Experience
4+ years supporting direct sales or sales through distribution channel
Work experience in sales or account management
Prior experience working with Canada IT channel is required
Prior experience working with Canada distribution channel is preferred
Knowledge and Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English is required
Intermediate experience with Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to multi-task and manage workflow priorities
Confident speaking in front of large groups and/or senior management
Focused on taking initiative to solve problems and create positive results
Travelling within the Canada and US is required
Ability to work confidently in a rapidly changing, rapid-paced and results-oriented corporate environment where a high degree of flexibility is required
Working Conditions
Requires sitting, operating a computer keyboard, telephone, and other office equipment for extended periods of times
Travel approximately 30%
This position is open to candidates based in Toronto and optional in Montreal
