Quality Assurance Coordinator Location: Toronto, ON, CA, M8Z 1B8

Position Summary Reporting to the QA Manager, the Quality Assurance Coordinator is responsible for providing functional expertise and support for Quality Systems, Complaints and QA Documentation, with a special emphasis on product analysis and sensory evaluations of McDonald's products.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Weekly calls with Ventura Foods US personnel in Chambersburg and Fort Worth

Compile and report Monthly RFT data

Analyze and report all data for analytical testing of McDonald's products

Capture and report all data for McDonald's trials and first runs, including LTO with 130 data points for each attribute, including production data, 24 hour data and shelf life data

Biweekly Quality First Calls with FRF

Biweekly pre-production calls – with FRF, planning, scheduling, plant personnel

Daily Sensory tasks for predetermined SKU’s, including use of McDonald's 9 point sensory scale

Data entry for McDonald's monthly and quarterly reports

Shelf life evaluations

Monthly reporting of shelf life data

Primary contact on any McDonald’s issues or complaints

Inventory tracking - identifying gaps before shipping orders and working with planning and scheduling

Primary contact during new product trials, LTO trials, and first production runs

Support Monitored (2nd and 3rd Production) Runs

Assist with hold/release procedures/tool

Assist with customer documentation requests

HACCP / Food Safety plan review

Train to become Sensory expert for VFC, and then take on annual sensory training of QA and R&D; personnel

Cross-train with other Quality Coordinators in order to provide back up coverage as needed.

Assist with Quality projects and issues as needed

Perform other duties as assigned

This position will be cross-trained on the duties of the Food Safety Complaince Coordinator, with the expectations that these two positions can cover each other for vacation, illness, etc.

Education and Experience

3-5 years experience in food processing or related industry

Relevant post secondary educations/training

Knowledge and Skills

Regular internal contact/interaction with various departments such as production, quality, R&D; to provide information and answer quality related questions.





Regular external contact/interactions with Customer / FlavorReddy Foods / Ventura Foods US personnel. This individual must be able to represent VFC to the customer, and conduct themselves in a professional manner

Work cooperatively with other co-workers and supervisors as a quality focused and service-oriented team player

Solve problems independently in consultation with the upper management following standard guidelines and procedures.

Strong written & verbal communication skills

The proven ability to make & sustain effective interpersonal relationships

Demonstrated proficiency with MSOffice

Ability to operate effectively in a customer focused, fast paced team environment

Experience / training/ knowledge of sensory analysis an asset

Annual salary Base Range of $61,246.00-$76,526.10*

*The “base salary range” provided above is a good faith estimate of what we expect to pay for this position in the specified markets. Ventura Foods Canada reserves the right to pay outside of the given range based on a variety of factors including but not limited to: candidate skills and experience,



complexity of the job, budgetary factors, and location/geography. Ventura Foods Canada conducts regular reviews of compensation ranges and therefore reserves the right to alter this range at any given time.

Typical shifts are 8-12 hours per day. Additional unscheduled time after hours and on weekends may also be required. Employees must be willing and able to wear personal protective equipment as required by Company policy and/or legal requirements. In addition, certain jobs may require employees to:

Be exposed to vibrations, chemicals used in operations, fumes and food allergens (may include soy, dairy and other allergens); and
