3D Geomatics looking for a motivated Survey Technologist to support a BC based Civil survey and Land Surveying firm. The Ideal applicant should have several years of experience and a solid understanding of the BC transportation industry (MoTI), land development, municipal, civil earthworks and engineering infrastructure projects.Responsibilities include:The ability to take and follow instructions from a Project Manager and/or client; Perform survey project tasks and communicate in a clear and accurate manner; Maintain vehicle and equipment in ready condition; Willing to learn new technologies and adapt to current techniques; Understand and comply with quality assurance and safety/environmental policies and procedures.Require the following skills/qualifications:A degree or diploma in Geomatics,
Civil Engineering or similar from an industry recognized institution is preferred; Member of ASTTBC or eligible to apply for membership; A minimum of 3-5 years of field experience in a Crew Chief role; Ability to executea variety of survey projects in an accurate, thorough and safe manner; Working knowledge of RTKGPS and Total (Robotic) Stations; Willingness and ability to assist with training and mentoring of junior staff; Ability to liaise with clients and company staff; Ability to work unsupervised and able to occasionally travel to remote BC locations; Proficient with computers, data collectors and related software applications; Possess a valid operator's license.#J-18808-Ljbffr
