We're looking for a Senior Estimator, Infrastructure to lead the development of accurate, competitive, and executable estimates on heavy civil and infrastructure projects. This role is hands‑on and accountable for driving estimates from early concept through submission, working closely with preconstruction, operations, and leadership to ensure projects are priced right and built right. While we are looking for a Senior Estimator, we may be open to candidates at an Intermediate level (compensation will be based on experience for more junior candidates).

What You'll Be Responsible For

Estimating Leadership & Execution

- Lead full-cycle estimating on heavy civil, transit, and infrastructure projects
- Build detailed first-principles, bottom‑up estimates
- Own estimate accuracy, completeness, and competitiveness
- Drive estimates from concept through final submission

Scope Development & Strategy

- Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents
- Define scope, assumptions, and pricing strategies
- Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities early
- Develop clear estimate narratives and documentation

Field Integration & Constructability

- Work closely with operations and field teams
- Align estimates with real construction means and methods
- Ensure constructability is built into all pricing
- Support planning with practical, executable approaches

Design-Build & Preconstruction Support

- Support design‑build pursuits and early‑stage budgeting
- Lead cost modeling, value engineering, and alternative solutions
- Contribute to pursuit strategy and client‑focused solutions

Quantity Take‑Offs & Pricing

- Oversee and complete quantity take‑offs
- Develop pricing summaries and cost breakdowns




- Support subcontractor and supplier pricing strategies
- Ensure full scope coverage and competitive positioning

Collaboration & Reviews

- Participate in estimate reviews and bid strategy sessions
- Work closely with preconstruction, PMs, and leadership
- Support alignment across teams on project approach and pricing

Experience & Qualifications

- 10-12 years combined field and estimating experience in heavy civil or infrastructure
- Strong design‑build estimating experience preferred
- Deep understanding of Canadian construction practices and methods
- Proven ability to interpret drawings, specs, and contract requirements
- Experience with self‑perform civil and concrete scopes
- Strong first‑principles estimating capability
- Proficient with estimating software (Bluebeam, Bid2Win considered an asset)
- Willing to travel as required
