Our client, a well-established and growing oil & gas producer, is seeking an experienced Production Accountant to join their Calgary-based team. This opportunity is ideal for a senior production accounting professional who enjoys taking ownership of full-cycle production and revenue accounting activities while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To

- Complete full-cycle production and revenue accounting for operated and non-operated assets in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
- Maintain and update master data within Metrix, including wells, market masters, royalties, and processing fees.
- Review fuel, flare, and vent emissions on a monthly basis.
- Perform monthly accounts receivable reviews and reconciliations.
- Review and process production and revenue amendments as required.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Respond to inquiries from government agencies, partners, royalty owners, and internal stakeholders.
- Investigate and resolve system issues and data discrepancies within Metrix.




- Support internal and external audits relating to production, revenue, transportation, and royalties.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to colleagues while contributing to a collaborative team workplace.

Your strengths include:

- 10+ years of production and revenue accounting experience within the oil & gas industry.
- Strong understanding of production accounting principles and industry regulations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic business environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Advanced proficiency with Excel, Metrix, and Qbyte FM.
- Working knowledge of field data capture systems, regulatory reporting requirements, and production accounting best practices.
- CAPPA certification and post-secondary education are considered strong assets.
