Roles and Responsibilities
The SitoskakewIskewew Worker provides culturally grounded prevention, intervention, and mentorship services to support youth and families while promoting the Cree Way of Life and Onion Lake Cree Nation values. The role focuses on mentoring young women, connecting clients to community resources, facilitating workshops and activities that promote personal growth and healthy relationships, collaborating with families and community partners, responding to crises, and maintaining accurate client records. The position is primarily community-based,
with approximately 80% of the work spent supporting families and clients in the community and 20% in the office, while participating in team meetings, following organizational policies, and adapting work hours to meet program needs. QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Certificate or diploma in Human Services, Social Worker Certificate/Diploma. Equivalences will be considered Related work experience will be considered Valid class 5 drivers license with acceptable abstract Transparent Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Combined education and experience will be considered
