We are looking for a skilled Red Seal Millwright to join our team at our Calona Wines/Sandhill Winery facility in downtown Kelowna.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for the operation, repair, and preventative maintenance of facility and production equipment, including pumps, conveyors, presses, and packaging lines. Your expertise will play an important role in keeping our production lines running efficiently, minimizing downtime, and maintaining a protected and productive workplace.
This is a hands‑on role working within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, with rotating shifts and additional flexibility required during our busy fall harvest season.
What this teammate will be responsible for
Operate, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot facility and production equipment, including pumps, conveyors, presses, and packaging lines
Maintain and troubleshoot packaging lines to support production efficiency and minimize downtime
Support the Packaging and Maintenance teams in resolving time-sensitive equipment and line issues
Perform quality checks and accurately record daily production and maintenance information
Maintain plant utility equipment, including air compressors, hot and cold water systems, and glycol systems
Use continuous improvement tools such as 5S, Kaizen, and Root Cause Analysis to support proactive maintenance and operational improvements
Participate in the planning and execution of plant projects and preventative maintenance initiatives
Complete daily production paperwork, shift logs, work orders, and equipment tracking documentation
Participate in equipment tracking and work order systems
Support the company’s Health & Safety Program and comply with EH&S; regulations and requirements
Follow HACCP requirements and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
Work collaboratively with the broader Packaging and Maintenance teams to achieve production targets and maintain a safe, efficient operation
What this teammate will bring
Previous experience in a beverage packaging or GMP manufacturing environment is preferred
Experience with pumps, process control equipment, PLCs, and manufacturing plant maintenance is an asset
Dual ticket qualifications are an asset
Valid scissor lift/boom lift and forklift certifications are assets
HRAI environmental awareness related to CFC/HCFC/HFC control is an asset
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
A self‑motivated and organized approach, with a focus on minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision
Commitment to workplace safety and the ability to follow HACCP, GMP, EH&S;, and other required procedures
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including bending, stooping, reaching, standing, and walking for extended periods
Legally entitled to work in Canada
Schedule
This position works a rotating Monday‑Friday schedule,
with shifts changing every two weeks:
5:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
3:30 p.m. - 12:00 a.m.
Occasional weekend and off‑shift work may be required, particularly during the fall harvest season.
