As a Cancer Registrar, you will play a vital role in analyzing and interpreting complex data to support cancer surveillance in Nova Scotia. Your work will contribute to provincial and national cancer research initiatives and health services planning, making a tangible impact in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze and interpret health data throughout the patient’s lifespan • Classify and stage tumors using AJCC 8th Edition rules • Review pathology reports and clinical records for accuracy • Update health status and treatment outcomes periodically • Prepare standardized datasets for publication and analysis
Requirements: • Certification in Health Information Management • Two years of experience in Cancer Care • Knowledge of Nova Scotia health legislation • Proficient in MS Office and health information systems • Bilingualism in French is preferred
