Below are some of the requirements to successfully qualify for the above-noted opening:
- Supporting the pharmacists with the execution of Rexall patient-focused services such as medication reviews (If applicable), immunizations, smoking cessation, etc.
- Abide by approved prescriptions, duties and responsibilities per the Alberta College of Pharmacists
- Data entry and billing of prescriptions through Propel, ensuring all required documentation is adequate and appropriate including (but not limited to) dosage and dosing intervals, third party billing restrictions, copayment management, coordination of benefits
- Prescription preparation including regular prescriptions, compliance packaging, and compounding
- Monitoring of site refrigeration temperatures and reporting any variances directly to the Pharmacy Manager or Pharmacist on-duty
- Effectively communicate with both external and internal contacts,
in addition to developing and maintaining professional relationships with local health care professionals, suppliers, allied health businesses, and private insurance payers
- Other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager or Pharmacist on-duty
- Must be able to do sterile compounding within 3 months of starting position
Required Skills:
- Pharmacy license to practice in Alberta.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong customer/patient satisfaction orientation
- Ability to achieve results with a strong sense of urgency and a "can-do" attitude
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work productively as a member of a energetic and fast-paced team
- Ability to travel to other outpatient pharmacies for coverage of open shifts
