Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Junior 3D Piping Designer in the Engineering consulting industry in Burlington, Ontario. Our client a EPC firm in Burlington is seeking a Junior 3D Piping Designer to join their Industrial & Infrastructure division on a contract basis.

A typical day:

- Assist in the development of piping layouts, 3D models, and detailed design drawings for industrial, chemical, and process plant projects under the guidance of senior designers and engineers.
- Support the preparation of piping isometrics, line lists, and material take-offs.
- Assist with the development of mechanical equipment layouts and general arrangement drawings.
- Coordinate with other disciplines, including structural, electrical, process, and HVAC teams, to support integrated project delivery.
- Assist in the preparation and revision of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs;).
- Develop 3D piping models using AutoCAD Plant 3D and generate 2D drawings from the models.
- Interpret P&IDs;, piping specifications,



and vendor drawings with guidance from senior team members.
- Assist with ensuring accessibility for operations, maintenance, safety, and equipment servicing requirements in plant layouts.
- Support engineering and design teams in meeting project schedules and deliverable requirements.

Successful candidates will have:

- Diploma in Engineering Design and Drafting Technology (Process Piping Major) or a Process Piping Drafting Certificate from a recognized institution.
- 0–2 years of piping design experience; co-op, internship, or relevant academic project experience will be considered.
- Familiarity with industrial, process, chemical, or manufacturing facilities is considered an asset.
- Basic knowledge of piping design principles, piping components, and industry standards.
- Exposure to AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Plant 3D is an asset.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel occasionally for site visits is considered an asset.
