Responsibilities
- Program and operate laser on a daily basis
- Follow through on first‑part‑checked procedure
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Take instruction and work‑load assignments from supervisors
- Gather and transport raw material to designated areas
- Perform safety inspections of hoists, forklifts, and machinery
- Perform minor repairs on laser as needed
- Enter work orders into JD Edwards
- Operate forklift
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
- Ability to read shop drawings
- Ability to follow safe operating procedures
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives with little or no supervision
- Skills needed to identify substandard workmanship in fabrication
Working Conditions
- Standing for long amounts of time
- Lifting or carrying alone or with assistance up to 50 lbs.
- Pushing, pulling, or dragging alone or with assistance up to 300 lbs.
- Work under hazardous, dangerous conditions (heat, dust, smoke, noise)
- Working outside in the elements (cold, heat, rain, snow)
