Live-in Caregiver – Senior with Neuro-degenerative Condition and Physical Disabilities

We are seeking a reliable, experienced and compassionate caregiver to provide full-time care for an elderly woman (age 86) with a neuro-degenerative condition, mobility limitations, cognitive and speech impairments.

The client is wheelchair-bound and requires assistance with all activities of daily living (ADLs) in a home setting.

Requirements

- Minimum 2–5 years of senior caregiving experience
- Experience supporting individuals with similar presentation:
- stroke, Parkinsonism, dementia and similar conditions
- moderate to severe mobility and communication challenges
- Mild to moderate cognitive impairment

- Ability to safely assist with lifting and transfers
- Physically capable of supporting a high-dependency client
- First Aid certification (asset)
- References required

Job Responsibilities





- Assist with protected transfers and mobility support (equipment provided)
- Provide full personal care: feeding, dressing, bathing, toileting, grooming
- Provide dementia-informed care and supervision
- Administration and management of medication
- Perform light to moderate housekeeping tasks:
- meal preparation & grocery pick up
- cleaning and laundry
- accompany client to appointments
- provide companionship and social support

Compensation & Benefits

- $25.00/hour (based on experience)
- Paid statutory holidays
- Paid vacation time
- Paid weekly or twice monthly
- Room and board available
