Reporting to the Director of Care, the Assistant Director ensures compliance with regulations and standards, driving quality improvements. This leadership position requires a focus on resident safety, employee engagement, and effective collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to enhance care delivery. Your role will be pivotal in promoting a customer service philosophy and improving overall satisfaction within the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage assigned clinical areas per Extendicare’s Model of Care • Identify risk mitigation strategies in collaboration with teams • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards • Collaborate with staff, residents, and families for optimized care • Lead quality improvement initiatives to achieve goals
Requirements: • Minimum three years as a Registered Nurse in long-term care • One-year managerial or supervisory experience preferred • Current CPR certification required • Proficiency in using EHR systems, including Point Click Care • Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills
