Join the NTC Nursing Services program as a Diabetes Leader for a two-year term. This role requires travel to remote communities across Vancouver Island, offering culturally safe diabetes consultations and support to Nuu-chah-nulth members. Use your expertise in a trauma-informed approach and engage individual and community wellness for optimal care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver culturally safe diabetes education and consultation • Facilitate group education sessions on diabetes • Develop and implement diabetes programming and protocols • Assess and plan nutritional care for clients • Advocate for clients on diabetes self-management issues
Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Dietetics preferred • Three years of clinical practice experience required • Current registration with BCCNM or CHCPBC • Current Certified Diabetes Educator certification is an asset • Valid BC Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle
