We are currently seeking an experienced Landscape Construction Crew Supervisor to oversee and coordinate various landscape construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess robust leadership skills and a solid background in construction management, landscape construction. This role requires a hands‑on approach to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Effectively lead a landscape construction crew, providing training and development to crew members and ensuring quality workmanship.
- Monitor job progress for efficient completion of projects, evaluating hours on site to estimate costs and seeking change orders for additional work.
- Install a variety of landscape features including retaining walls, paver walkways and patios, concrete, and planting of shrubs and trees.
- Operate skid steers and various sizes of excavators.
- Operate hand and power tools safely.
- Maintain a clean and safe work site, truck, and trailer,
and conduct daily tailgate meetings in the morning with the crew.
- Work on the snow removal team during the winter for year‑round work.
- Develop project schedules and budgets while monitoring progress and making adjustments as necessary.
- Provide leadership and guidance to team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Conduct regular site inspections to assess work quality and adherence to specifications.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of proven experience in construction management or a related field with a focus on landscaping projects.
- 5+ years of strong supervisory experience with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively.
- Knowledge of landscape construction practices and civil construction work.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in project execution.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
- Ability to problem‑solve and make decisions under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Can operate a mini excavator, skid steer, and other types of equipment.
