Lyft's Safety and Customer Care (SCC) team builds AI-powered support systems to keep riders and drivers secure and supported. As a Machine Learning Engineer on SCC, you will fine-tune and align open-source models, design AI agents, and deploy end-to-end solutions for safety-critical customer care at scale. Responsibilities include post-training adaptations (SFT, LoRA, RLHF/RLAIF/RLVR), building evaluation benchmarks, and partnering with product, data science, and operations.
