Job Description

- Assist in the loading and unloading of delivery trucks and containers
- Pack and unpack goods for shipping and receiving
- Use of forklift, pallet trucks and shipping carts
- Inspect all incoming shipments for condition and verify accuracy against purchase orders
- Distribute received shipments to respective departments within the warehouse
- Process outgoing shipments to suppliers and other Long & McQuade locations
- Work with standard shipping documents and online shipping systems
- Maintain shipping logs and properly file all paperwork
- Keep shipping/receiving area clean and organized and ensure compliance with health and safety standards




- Provide assistance to co-workers in stocking and restocking merchandise, and general housekeeping
- This is a physical job that requires lifting and moving merchandise for the duration of a shift.

Job Requirements

- Must be a musician who plays at least one instrument
- Enjoy working in a physically demanding and fast-paced environment
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs
- Solid organizational and time management skills
- Ability to excel in a self-directed work environment
- Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer literacy and arithmetic skills
