Job Description

We are currently looking for a Gatehouse associate to work in a fast‑paced retail setting. The position requires working outside and a thorough understanding of building materials to ensure each customer’s order is correct. Because of the loss‑prevention aspect, all products must be accounted for and paid for before leaving the premises; efficiency, tact, and thoroughness are essential for success.

Responsibilities

- Collect payments
- Operate registers, scanners, and credit card/debit card terminals
- Check customer loads for accuracy
- Clear all loads coming in and leaving the yard
- Report any violations, theft, accidents, or injuries to the store manager
- Provide excellent customer service
- Lift light to heavy merchandise





Qualifications

- Lumber knowledge is an asset
- Ability to perform physically demanding work as needed
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and in a fast‑paced environment
- Great verbal communication skills
- Basic computer knowledge
