Key Responsibilities

- Source and coordinate available freight loads through brokers, load boards, and customer relationships.
- Match available loads with appropriate trucks, drivers, equipment, and routes.
- Negotiate freight rates and confirm pickup and delivery requirements.
- Dispatch drivers and provide complete load information, including pickup/delivery addresses, appointment times, commodity details, and special instructions.
- Communicate with brokers, shippers, receivers, and drivers regarding load status, delays, appointment changes, and other issues.
- Track pickup and delivery times and ensure required documentation is collected.
- Obtain and verify rate confirmations, bills of lading (BOLs), proof of delivery (POD), and other transportation documents.
- Resolve transportation issues quickly and professionally.
- Coordinate appointment scheduling and assist drivers with route and delivery information.
- Maintain positive working relationships with carriers, drivers, brokers, and customers.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in freight dispatching, trucking, logistics,



or freight brokerage is preferred.
- Knowledge of the North American trucking and freight industry.
- Robust negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of common trucking terminology, documents, and procedures.

Working Conditions

- Frequent communication by phone, email, and messaging platforms.
- May require availability outside regular business hours to handle delays, emergencies, and changing transportation schedules.
