Encompass Support Services Society seeks a dedicated Advocate to assist Indigenous individuals impacted by crime. Your expertise in cultural knowledge and person-centered care will guide you in supporting families through the justice system. This position requires collaboration with various services, ensuring comprehensive support for participants in Langley and Aldergrove.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support Indigenous participants in navigating trauma and justice system • Facilitate informed decision-making and person-centered care • Collaborate with diverse health and community services • Provide advocacy, transportation, and referrals for clients • Foster strong connections and trust with families and communities
Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in social services or related field • Minimum three years in community social services • Experience with vulnerable families and Indigenous communities • Strong knowledge of cultural protocols and practices • Valid BC Class 5 Drivers' license and First Aid certification
