We are seeking a dedicated professional to provide exceptional customer service to those experiencing homelessness. This position requires robust skills in crisis management, motivational interviewing, and housing assessment tools like VI-SPDAT. You will facilitate emergency housing admissions and refer clients to community supports, ensuring comprehensive service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Respond to inquiries from individuals at risk of homelessness • Assess housing needs using VI-SPDAT or SPDAT • Facilitate admission to the emergency housing program • Maintain accurate client records in HIFIS database • Connect clients with internal and community supports
Requirements: • Two-year diploma in Social Services or related field • Over two years of experience in social services • Knowledge of mental health and addiction counseling • Valid Ontario Driver’s Licence • Expertise with crisis situations and conflict resolution
