Be a part of Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences as a Registered Nurse 2 for the Dual Diagnosis Service program in Whitby, Ontario. Deliver assessment and therapeutic interventions for patients facing responsible mental health challenges.
In this permanent part-time position, you will engage in providing mental and general nursing care as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team. Your role will include implementing best nursing practices, conducting skills assessments, and facilitating supportive group programming tailored to the unique needs of patients with dual diagnoses.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide patient assessments and therapeutic interventions
• Collaborate with team members in developing care plans
• Engage in the delivery of life skills and recreational therapy




• Document nursing care and patient interactions thoroughly
• Work flexibly across various nursing specialties as needed
Requirements:
• Registration with CNO, current BCLS, and CPR certifications
• Knowledge of mental health nursing standards and CNO guidelines
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
• Ability to work different shifts, including weekends
• BScN preferred, with relevant psychiatric nursing experience
