As per the current collective agreement:

Youth sector:

Non-legally qualified : $54.11 per hour

Legally qualified : $63.14 per hour

Adult sector:

Non-legally qualified:

$74.74 per hour

Legally qualified: $80.75 per hour

*To be considered qualified, you must hold a Quebec-issued brevet or teaching license

Key Responsibilities

Teach students in the absence of the classroom teacher

Maintain a protected and conducive learning environment

Strong classroom management skills

Plan pedagogical activities

Foster an inclusive bilingual (English/French) learning environment.

Required qualifications

Priority is given to candidates with:

A Quebec Brevet





A valid teaching license issued by the Quebec Ministry of Education

A degree in Education

Candidates currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Education program are also welcome to apply.

We also accept unqualified candidates who hold a Bachelors degree in a relevant field, with experience working with students.

International Studies

For diplomas obtained abroad, the comparative evaluation of studies completed outside Quebec issued by the Ministère de lImmigration, de la Francisation et de lIntégration attesting that you have a bachelors degree is required.

Other requirements

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Bilingualism (French/English) and ability to teach fluently in both languages
