Registered Practical Nurse – Silverthorn Community – Mississauga. Pay $31.10–$33.60 per hour as per Collective Agreement. This position is for an existing vacancy.
Reporting to the Director of Care, the Registered Practical Nurse is a critical role within our communities as it impacts the lives of residents.

What you’ll be doing
- Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician’s orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RPN/LPN.
- Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure delivery of excellent nursing and personal care.
- Create a welcoming and supportive environment for residents through teamwork and effective communication with staff.
- Oversee resident care, including regular communication with residents and their families,
and provide guidance to staff.
- Supervise the Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members assigned to the unit.
- Manage admission, readmission, and change in status, and provide ongoing assessment to residents.
Who you are
- A Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with the Ontario College of Nurses.
- An asset having experience in Geriatrics, Rehabilitation, and/or senior health industry.
- Good judgment, the ability to identify risk, and foster a positive work environment.
- Legally eligible to work in Canada or possess a valid work permit.
