As a full time Certified Recreation Therapy Aide, you will contribute to the quality of life for seniors through therapeutic recreation initiatives. Your responsibilities will include conducting assessments, planning and implementing programs, and collaborating closely with the Recreation Therapist to tailor experiences that meet residents’ needs. You will also maintain open communication with families and document progress effectively to ensure top-notch care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct assessment and gather leisure history information
• Plan and implement resident-centered therapeutic programs




• Promote a therapeutic environment during activities
• Document progress and provide feedback on resident participation
• Communicate effectively with families and healthcare teams
Requirements:
• Recreation Therapy or Health Care Aide certification
• 1-3 years of experience with seniors
• Valid Class 4 driver’s license and updated immunization records
• Satisfactory Criminal Reference Check required
• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
