Position Overview
- STEM Collegiate is seeking a full-time science teacher to join our Junior High team. The successful candidate will teach a combination of Junior High science,
with specific assignments determined based on school needs and teacher strengths.
- This is a probationary contract commencing on August 25, 2026 and concluding on June 30, 2027.
Teaching Responsibilities
- Teach junior high science courses aligned with Alberta Programs of Study.
- Design and deliver engaging, outcomes-aligned instruction using effective assessment practices.
- Use formative and summative assessment to monitor student progress and inform instruction.
- Support diverse learners through differentiated instruction and responsive teaching practices.
- Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and academic growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, assessment design, and instructional improvement.
- Participate in ongoing curriculum development and refinement within Math, Science, and STEM programming.
Qualifications
- Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate.
- Bachelor of Education degree or equivalent recognized by Alberta Education.
