Commercial Litigation AA Clerk/Jr LAA
On befalf of our client, one of BC’s Top Employers for 2026, TEEMA is seeking a professional, driven and energetic Administrative Clerk/Legal Administrative Assistant to join our client's Commercial Litigation group. This position is a great chance for someone who wants to grow their career in legal and work with a vibrant and team-oriented group of people. The successful candidate will ideally have 1+ years of experience working in a corporate environment. We are looking for someone who is a self-starter with exceptional interpersonal skills, who thrives in a fast-paced and rewarding team environment.
Responsibilities
- Organization of documents in binders
- Prepare open matter reports and request/gather all necessary client documentation
- Prepare closed file reports, strip files, organize file materials
- Assist with organizing meetings and scheduling appointments
- Print / copy / scan / save documents in document management system
- Prepare expense reports
- Assist with accounting, billing and payment tasks
- Provide desk coverage for Legal Administrative Assistants, overflow assistance, and other general administrative duties as required
Must Haves
- 1+ years of experience in a clerical or administrative capacity in a corporate setting
- Completion, or in the process of, of an accredited Legal Administrative Assistant program preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology considered an asset
- Good technical skills including Outlook, MS Word and MS Excel
- Commitment to providing first-rate and prompt quality service
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding the firm, its clients and any related matters
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills with the ability to listen effectively and respond appropriately
- Ability to develop and build strong relationships and rapport with clients, lawyers, and legal assistants
- Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail to produce high quality and accurate work
- Solid work ethic and team player
- A willingness to learn and to adapt to changing demands
- Ability to prioritize tasks by deadline, work calmly under pressure and manage a high volume of work in a fast-paced and time sensitive environment
- Proven ability to take initiative as well as follow instructions
- A polished and professional image and demeanor with a positive can-do attitude
Compensation & Benefits
The salary range for this role is $56,000 – $60,000 annually + RRSP + 3 weeks holiday + 12 personal days
