Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll help design and build the core infrastructure that powers the development and testing of next-generation autonomous flight systems. This role offers the chance to work with cutting-edge cloud technologies while collaborating with experts in flight controls, autonomy, safety, simulation, testing, manufacturing, and certification.
What You’ll Do
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform or OpenTofu .
- Build and manage containerized workloads with Kubernetes (GKE) , Compute Engine , Cloud Functions , Cloud Run , Cloud Storage , and BigQuery .
- Develop and manage DevOps pipelines using GitLab CI/CD to automate infrastructure provisioning, application deployments, and operational tasks.
- Create automated workflows with workflow engines (e.g., Apache Airflow/Cloud Composer , Cloud Workflows , Argo Workflows ) to support data processing, builds, deployments, and simulations.
- Partner with engineering teams to deliver secure, reliable, and cost-effective infrastructure solutions.
- Monitor, troubleshoot,
and optimize GCP environments while staying current with new services and best practices.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of cloud infrastructure engineering experience, with deep expertise in GCP .
- Solid skills in IaC (Terraform/OpenTofu) and hands-on experience with Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, and BigQuery .
- Proven background in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) .
- Experience with DevOps automation and CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD and workflow orchestration tools.
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash ).
- Solid understanding of networking, security, and access management within cloud environments.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with GCP analytics, monitoring, or logging services (Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging ).
- Passion for aviation, autonomous systems, and the future of mobility.
