Position Title: Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Employment Type: Full-time / Part-time / Per Diem Department: Medical Imaging Reports To: Sonography Manager Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to perform high-quality ultrasound examinations that assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical ability, attention to detail, and excellent patient care skills. Key Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations (e.g., abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, or general sonography) in accordance with established protocols Prepare patients for procedures by explaining exams and ensuring comfort and safety Accurately capture, analyze, and document diagnostic images for physician interpretation Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper functionality and cleanliness Review patient history and verify exam orders prior to procedures Collaborate with radiologists,
physicians, and healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient care Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and facility policies Adhere to professional standards, safety guidelines, and continuing education requirements Qualifications
Current certification (Sonography Canada ,ARDMS,) (with valid CMRIPS license) required Strong knowledge of ultrasound physics, anatomy, and pathology Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods Capability to assist and position patients Manual dexterity to operate imaging equipment Work Setting
Hospital, outpatient clinic setting Mon-to Friday 800-430pm
